Najè Imani Hair

Najè Imani is a certified and licensed cosmetologist and the owner and founder of Najè Imani Hair.

A Chicago native, Najè was introduced to the world of cosmetology at a young age by observing her cousin work with her clientele. Studying her cousin's skill and ability to connect with her customers was the initial spark for Najè’s passion for hair care. Eventually, she put her acquired knowledge to use, initially providing her services to friends and family to hone her skills.

Realizing the potential for her vocation to be lucrative, Najè set her sights on entrepreneurship. The first step was to get professionally trained. Raised by parents who imagined a traditional college education for their daughter, she was hesitant to tell them of her decision to seek professional training in hair artistry. But, to her surprise and delight, Najè's parents were happy that their daughter had chosen to follow her calling and wholeheartedly supported her decision. She enrolled in John Amico School of Hair Design where she graduated in 2017 as a certified beautician and obtained her cosmetology license in 2020.

What began as a bootstrap model with friends and family eventually grew into a sustainable business with a loyal client base. Even as she further expands her business, Najè feels her real reward is the same as it has always been: making her clients look and feel their best by having been “touched” by Mz. Imani.
